2006年公映的波兰-英国-挪威动画短片《彼得与狼》的配乐采用了俄国作曲家普罗科菲耶夫于1936年创作的同名交响童话。影片没有对白，全部靠音乐和动作来讲述故事。2008年2月《彼得与狼》赢得了奥斯卡最佳动画短片后，指挥家马克·斯蒂芬森随即在皇家节日大厅指挥了电影现场配乐演出。

立陶宛作曲家和指挥家明道加斯·皮耶柴提斯以由他作曲和指挥的乐队小品《猫的协奏曲》而闻名，该作的主题由一只叫「诺拉」的猫在钢琴上演奏，作品片段在YouTube上拥有过百万的点击量。

这是今年MISA又一场结合了现场音乐和视觉画面的视听盛宴！

Peter & the Wolf is a short Polish-British-Norwegian model animation film released in 2006 and is set to the music Sergei Prokofiev wrote for the story in 1936. The film has no vocals but relies on music and action to tell the story. In February 2008 Peter & the Wolf won the Oscar for Best Animated Short Film and conductor Mark Stephenson conducts thelive orchestra screening at The Royal Festival Hall.

Mindaugas Piečaiti is a Lithuanian composer and conductor who gained international attention as the composer and conductor of a chamber orchestra piece CATcerto featuring a performance by Nora, a cat who plays the piano, garnered multi-million clicks on YouTube.
